2017 Lexus RX450h Review

As the last model has been completely redesigned, the new 2017 Lexus RX450h has no many changes in design. The main novelties are small changes in exterior design, new navigation system, adaptive cruise control and automatic high beams, otherwise is more and less the same as on the last model. It is very favorable luxury and comfort SUV crossover with many great details in exterior look and elegant and expensive design in the cabin. The fact that is a hybrid car is a big plus for those who wanted to save the planet and their wallets, but with no slowness of the engine instead.

Exterior


As we said, 2017 Lexus RX450h is not much changed from the last model, so it still has recognizable details and parts. Front grille with wide mesh-shaped in recognizable rhomboidal sign is rounded with chromatic lines and fulfilled with the same stylized LED lights and fog lights below it. Speaking of the fog lights, they have special protection in shape of the letter L. The bottom of the doors has a deep line almost to the end of the car, while the roof with dark sunroof ends with the thin spoiler on the top of the truck door. The rear end has a similar cracked truck door and same shaped rear lights with sharp edges.

Interior


The cabin of 2017 Lexus RX450h supports the feeling of luxury and comfort, with well-shaped seats covered with thin leather, great positioned down of the cabin for better driving control and vision. The infotainment system is slightly upgraded from the last model, so there are new navigation control and cruise control, with smartphone integration, forward collision warning, and lane keeping an assistant and forward collision warning with auto braking. The modern dashboard has an available color touchscreen with perfect button layouts with no distracting for the driver.

Engine

Having a hybrid 3.5-liter V6 engine 2017 Lexus RX450h accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in only 7.2 seconds, which is very acceptable for crossovers. On that speed stops in 121-130 feet, thanks to the auto breaking control. Even though driver on test said that it had some slower acceleration for a hybrid and maybe too odd sound in the cabin (but not noise), they confirmed the great driving stability, road visibility, and perfect engine performances.

2017 Lexus RX450h Prices

The starting price for 2017 Lexus RX450h is $53,035 for the base model (this is official Lexus price). This model includes 30 MPG Combined 259-hp, 3.5-liter V-6 (premium) 2-speed CVT w/OD and auto-manual All-wheel Drive Seats. However, today prices that we found on others sites, is that you can find it for $58,523 (edmunds), and up. This all depends on your dealer too.
