Being a classic sedan, 2018 Scion FR-S has already won a market of average buyers and car drivers. There should not be many changes in that field; so basically, this car will look like the current model. That means an interesting front grille covered with the extension of the hood is slightly sharpen with the wide rhomboidal mesh grille. The LED lights should be large and curved, incorporated in hood line with two visible air vents and rounded fog lights on the sides of the front bumper. The rounded hood is lowered from the front and rear end, with the rounded truck door and small but characteristic rear lights.
Not only that 2018 Scion FR-S (2018 Toyota 86) is interesting looking from the outside, but also in term of the cabin equipment and design. Together with the leather on the seats and dashboard in combination with the quality fabric in details, there are offered three color versions, the same luxury and attractive as on the previous models. In term of the equipment, worth of mentioning are Bluetooth connectivity, USB input, radio and sound system, airbags, navigation system and adjustable cruise control, while sensor brakes, stability system are part of the safety package possibly built-in base models.
There will be more than one engine option in 2018 Scion FR-S. Base model should have 2.0-liter turbocharged 3-cylinder petrol engine with 300 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. Higher trim version gets 2-liter boxer engine with 200 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque and finally, there are rumors that FR-S could have a hybrid engine with 300 horsepower, but they have not confirmed yet that information. All engines should get the eight-speed automatic transmission.
2018 Scion FR-S Price and Release Date
As the last model costs around $25,000 for base versions, we do not have a reason to not expect the same price for 2018 Scion FR-S, especially knowing how well have been sold the previous one. Releasing date should be somewhere at the end of the year.
