The year 2019 will bring us another redesigned Toyota model. As we have been informed, the 2019 Toyota Avalon will make its appearance in the market as a sedan with a bolder and more elegant styling as well as an upgraded performance.
Based on the spy photos of a camouflaged 2019 Toyota Avalon concept we have seen, it is a bit hard to tell what you can expect in terms of exterior updates. However, there were some features that obviously have caught our attention. For instance, the new Avalon will get sportier and sharper edges. It will appear with a more modern and angular design than its predecessor. Many would probably compare this model to the current Camry in terms of look, especially the quad-exhaust pipes in the back and the wider lower grille in the front. The similarity also comes from the platform that will be used, which has already been seen in the Camry, CH-R and Prius models. The construction is also planned to be lightweight which will benefit the fuel economy and improve the sports performance of this vehicle. Other changes include the sleeker LED headlights in the front fascia while on the side profile you will notice the repositioned mirrors which will be lower than it has been the case on the current model. The 2019 Avalon will probably be standing on a new set of 17 or 18-inch alloy wheels.
We have not got much information about what the 2019 Toyota Avalon is hiding inside. The spy shots have revealed only its redesigned body, but we believe that the interior will also undergo some significant upgrades, especially when it comes to hi-tech options. Also, this model is expected to provide more space and comfort than the current model and we expect the use of better-quality materials and leather as well. The seats will probably be electronically adjustable and offer the heating and cooling options. Several displays have been expected, including a larger touch screen for the infotainment system, but none of these have been confirmed yet. The new Avalon will probably provide the latest safety and security options as well.
When it comes to powertrain of the new 2019 Toyota Avalon, this section reveals probably the least information. It has still been a mystery what this sedan will be hiding under its hood, but the experts expect a 3.5-liter six-cylinder V-6 found in the 2018 Camry. Such an engine will probably be able to deliver 268 horsepower, but this is just a rumor. What is more certain is that the new Avalon will be based on the front-wheel-drive system and the TNGA platform seen on the Prius and Camry.
