2019 Toyota Prius V – is it worth it?

As our team has been informed, the next-generation Toyota Prius V is going to hit the market as a 2019 model. This new SUV will belong to a series of Toyota hybrid vehicles with enhanced fuel economy.

When it comes to exterior of the 2019 Toyota Prius V, it can be noticed that this vehicle represents a combination of different styles – wagon, crossover and minivan. It will be larger in dimensions than the basic Prius model, especially taller. Higher roofline will that way provide more space and headroom inside this hybrid. It cannot be said that the Prius V is attractive and unique, but it is a real family car with unusual design. It will be available in four trim levels and nine paint colors, as we have been informed. In the front fascia, we have noticed a small grille and a large front bumper and air intakes. It will also get triangular automatic LED headlights and fog lamps. This model has also got a classy and sophisticated touch as well as improved aerodynamics. Looking at the side profile, this Prius definitely looks like a wagon. Its large doors will enable easy access. It will be standing on 16-inch aluminum wheels while in the back part of the vehicle you will notice a huge bumper as well as a large and sleek tailgate.

The interior of the 2019 Toyota Prius V will be largely based on the original Prius. It is not confirmed yet whether the cabin of this hybrid will offer five or seven seats to its passengers. However, what we know is that the front seats will be heated and adjustable while all the seats will be covered with high-quality materials, perhaps even with leather in higher trims. When the rear seats are folded, you will get an extra cargo space. Expect the dashboard to look a bit futuristic. This model will get a 4.2-inch display with basic data and a 6.1-inch touch screen with the latest infotainment system. So, it will provide features such as navigation system with voice control, automatic climate control, satellite radio, audio system, Bluetooth and other types of connectivity. Safety features include airbags, adaptive cruise control, a pre-collision system, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning and others.

The new 2019 Toyota Prius V will get its power from a 1.8-liter four-cylinder fuel engine that will deliver 98 horsepower and 105 pound-feet of torque. Another motor but electric will produce 80 horsepower and 153 pound-feet of torque. The total output of these two combined will be around 134 horsepower. It is not certain yet if the new Prius V will be using a nickel-metal or lithium-ion battery pack and this will depend on the number of seats inside this hybrid.

I am big time interested in the ‘new’ prius V. Its a close match to the Rav-4 but it gets about 10 mpg more which is a game changer. I have had 2 prius’ and a camry hybrid, great car idea-keep it going. Let me know when the new V is released and will be on sale. F
