There are significant changes that wait for 2021 Dodge Durango this year. Along with the changes in the cabin and design, the model could get a new engine. It could be a similar model to the current version, but there are expectations in this field, too. Fans expect electric motor under the hood, also.
- The model should be a little modernized in design.
- There is a significant new design of the cabin.
- They have still not said much about the engine.
- The cabin could be tight.
It is for sure that 2021 Dodge Durango will come with the new front fascia, at least in higher trims. They have said that SRT and Scat Pack will come with visible changes on the front end. However, we have not been able to see those changes since they have driven the first model with thick camouflage.
It is for sure that we could see new LED lights and changed taillights, too. The model also comes with further details on the sides. However, the overall look should be similar to the last year’s models.
There are no significant changes inside of 2021 Dodge Durango’s worth of mentioning. They have shown a new dashboard that looks like on new Toyota Pacifica, with a 10-inch Uconnect 5 system also seen in that car. However, they will slightly upgrade the design of the model for next year, using new details and materials. It should be again three-row midsize crossover SUV, with a little tight second row and a lot of great features.
2021 Dodge Durango Engine
The manufacturer has not said which engine will use in 2021 Dodge Durango since they have not changed engines in the whole line this year. On the other hand, they could use a completely new, award-winning eTorque system that will apply in the new Ram 1500.
Since it is a combination of the petrol engine and 48-volt battery, it could be a significant addition to the mild-hybrid truck class. Not only that, but they will also significantly increase the speed and efficiency, they are entirely economical for city driving and work. The engine also increases towing capacity, according to manufacturer’s claims.
However, we still believe that they will use a supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat HEMI V8 model, which they have used in higher trims of reliable models, like Rebel TRX or Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. There are expectations that they could use a completely new, 707-horsepower Hellcat engine, too. It is still not for sure which of them will be under the hood, though.
2021 Dodge Durango Release Date and Price
The manufacturer has not clearly said when during this year, we could see 2021 Dodge Durango on the market. It is for sure that they will not wait long to show it. Similar models have already debuted, so every day of delaying significantly changes the attractiveness. The price should not be much higher than $30,000.
